Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring active MA licensure and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

  • Night shift position on the 2 West/Med/Surg unit (19:00-07:30)
  • 13-week assignment
  • Adult and pediatric patient population
  • Coordinates care for a designated patient population within the Joint Center and Medical-Surgical units
  • Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
  • Orthopedic surgical care experience strongly preferred
  • Primary source verification of license required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
  • Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Supervise LPNs and non-licensed support staff
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Report directly to the Nurse Manager/Director
  • Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient experiences
  • Local candidates accepted if permanent residence is within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, at a reduced rate
