Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• End Date: January 25, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend and Holiday Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday
• Charting System: Epic
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Healthcare Setting: Acute-care, on-site hospital unit

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in South Dakota
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, telemetry nursing, or both
• Ability to provide safe, effective patient care in an acute-care environment
• Strong patient assessment, communication, prioritization, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
• Ability to work scheduled night shifts, including every-other-weekend and holiday rotations

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Monitor medical-surgical and telemetry patients, interpret relevant clinical findings, and promptly recognize changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support positive patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders, nursing standards, and facility policies.
• Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in Epic.
• Practice within the applicable Nurse Practice Act, professional standards, and scope of licensure.
• Support safe transitions of care across the patient care continuum.
