Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg Telemetry position requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior renal/medical-surgical nursing experience.

Details

  • Work on a 28-bed Renal Medical-Surgical unit (3 North)
  • Provide direct patient care including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition
  • Coordinate care across disciplines and assist with discharge planning
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision required
  • Must be able to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment

Additional Information

  • Serve as primary coordinator among healthcare disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans in accordance with facility policies and protocols
  • Navy/maroon scrub color requirement
  • Radius rule applies, which may affect eligibility for travel rate versus local rate
  • Local candidates may be considered, though at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
