Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care Registered Nurse experience required
• Current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to care for adult medical-surgical patients and support occasional pediatric admissions
• Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Collaborate with providers, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Care for patients across medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric service lines
• Provide leadership support as Charge RN when assigned
• Serve as a preceptor when needed and help support team development
• Promote a safe, efficient, and patient-centered care environment
• Adapt to a dynamic critical access hospital setting while practicing at the top of your license
