Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility position requiring a Maine or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience with travel background preferred.

Details

• Skilled nursing and long-term care unit within a senior living facility with 54 beds
• Patient population includes skilled and long-term care residents, some with dementia
• Patient ratios vary by assignment
• Uses equipment including total lifts, sit-to-stand lifts, Doppler, EKG, IVs, and feeding tubes
• EMR systems used include PCC and Epic
• Evening shift from approximately 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM
• Every other weekend required, 8-hour shifts
• Floating required between hallways of the same level of care, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• IV certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, with travel experience preferred
• Non-AHA certifications accepted at submission but AHA certification must be completed before start
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to skilled and long-term care residents, including those with dementia
• Work as part of a respectful, team- and patient-oriented care environment
• Scrubs required, no specific color mandated
• Candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) will be considered local, which may affect pay rate eligibility
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this information
