Registered Nurse (RN) - Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their fetuses. This role requires a thorough understanding of maternal-fetal health and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive nursing care during both routine and critical situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit.
  • Monitor and assess the health status of pregnant patients and their fetuses.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on maternal and fetal health topics.
  • Utilize advanced nursing skills to manage complications that may arise during pregnancy.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
  • Attend to emotional and psychological needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in maternal-fetal medicine or a related specialty.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Work Schedule

This position involves working night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, providing care during crucial hours for patients in need.
