Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a ND or compact RN license and at least 1 year of procedural experience.

Details

  • Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma center GI/Endoscopy unit
  • Rotating 4-day, 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday
  • Weekend call required once every 2 months and weekday call once every 1-2 weeks
  • Weekend call only, with potential to work one holiday per year depending on staffing needs
  • May float into the pre and post area at the endo expansion, staffed entirely by endo personnel
  • Uses EPIC charting system
  • Uses Provation and Olympus equipment

Requirements

  • Active ND or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in procedures required, advanced endoscopy procedure experience (ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopies, EBUS) preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • BSN not required

Additional Information

  • Perform RN scrub duties including assisting with procedures at bedside, bedside cleaning, and specimen retrieval
  • Perform RN circulator duties including charting, documentation, specimen coordination, and care coordination
  • Perform scope reprocessing duties including cleaning scopes, using an AER, borescope, ATP testing, and leak testing
  • Responsible for patient transport
  • Hospital-provided scrubs required
  • Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
  • Does not accept local candidates with permanent addresses within 80 miles of the facility
  • Candidates with prior employment at this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
