Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager requiring 3+ years of case management experience and a GA or Compact RN license.

Details

  • Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review department
  • Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

  • Active GA or Compact RN license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 3 years of case management experience required
  • Prior travel nurse experience required
  • Charting system experience required (any system)
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Assess, evaluate, and drive patient discharge planning
  • Coordinate services to ensure patients receive appropriate level of care
  • Initiate, evaluate, and re-evaluate treatment plans daily
  • Monitor length of stay and identify barriers to discharge
  • Follow Medicare regulatory guidelines including patient choice, IMM notices, and MOON notices
  • Utilize InterQual and Milliman guidelines for utilization review
  • Conduct admission criteria review, concurrent review, continued stay review, and medical necessity determinations
  • Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HEDIS, HIPAA, ICD-10, NCQA, and Joint Commission standards applied in daily work
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with no RTO permitted during September or during orientation week
  • Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
