Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab RN for a Level 1 trauma facility requiring at least 2 recent years of Cath Lab experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a Level 1 trauma hospital
• Perform procedures including STEMI, Shock, VAD, ECMO, and Structural Heart cases
• Use Phillips imaging equipment with new Siemens imaging equipment being added
• Documentation is completed in Epic and the hemodynamic system used is Xper
• Day shift schedule with 4x10-hour shifts per week (40 hours)
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum of 2 recent years of Cath Lab experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• ARRT certification required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatment responses
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, intervening as necessary
• Administer prescribed medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding requirements must begin immediately upon offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to compliance processing times
• Extensions limited to one time for a maximum of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• First-time travelers considered as long as experience requirements are met
