Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN with at least one year of nursing experience to float across multiple inpatient units at a Level 1 Trauma facility.

Details

  • Floats to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as applicable
  • Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Weekend and holiday shifts vary
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma center experience required

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic EMR charting experience required

Additional Information

  • Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members across diverse patient populations
  • Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
  • Implements, evaluates, and modifies nursing interventions based on patient needs
  • May precept staff from various units as needed
  • May complete Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Local candidates are not accepted
  • Workers may not be continuously on assignment for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returning
