Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights | 3x12's (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services across Acute Care and Emergency Department settings, including inpatient, medical-surgical unit, and step-down patients
- Perform patient assessment and treatment of pulmonary disease
- Deliver pulmonary-related patient education
- Manage a patient load with an approximate ratio of 80:1, typically seeing 20–25 patients per round
- Document and manage patient records using EPIC EMR (required)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification required
- Active Virginia (VA) Respiratory Therapy License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an Emergency Department or Step-Down/MSU environment
- Familiarity with high-volume patient caseloads in an acute care hospital setting
