Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and deliver treatment for pulmonary disease across Acute Care and Emergency Department settings
- Provide pulmonary-related patient education as part of a comprehensive care plan
- Care for inpatient populations in the ED, Medical-Surgical Unit, and Step-Down Unit
- Manage a patient load of approximately 20–25 patients per round within an 80:1 ratio environment
- Document all clinical activity accurately within the EPIC electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification required
- Active Virginia Respiratory Therapy License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required — American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an Acute Care or Emergency Department setting
- Familiarity with Step-Down or high-acuity inpatient respiratory care
