    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

    Location

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional licensure and with minimal supervision
    • Operate invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
    • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, and routine chest x-ray review
    • Perform arterial puncture, 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, tracheostomy care, and assist with bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement
    • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines, including endotracheal tube insertion and removal via freehand technique and/or video laryngoscope
    • Accurately document all treatments, patient responses, and respiratory therapy charges in the patient chart and respiratory care records
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Respiratory Therapist license valid in New Jersey
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of mechanical ventilation and respiratory therapy equipment
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an acute care environment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience assisting with advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement
    • Familiarity with moderate complexity laboratory testing protocols including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
    • Experience with PleurX catheter drainage or similar devices
