Shift Details:- 6 Month Assignment
- Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (WED RDO)
- 0800-1830 (30)
- Frist two weeks, Mon-Fri 0700-1530, there is also in-service training which will be scheduled once onboard, Mon-Wed 0700-1500
Respiratory Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments.
- Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
- Perform diagnostic testing, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas sampling.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response or code teams.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care, medications, and equipment use.
- Monitor patient response to therapy and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:- Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- CDCR and EHRS experience; Basic computer skills, fully vaccinated preferred.
- Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
- Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements.
