    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – 12-Hour Nights

    Location

    Tacoma, WA | Acute Care / Level IV NICU

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (0700–1930 or 1900–0730) | Every-other-weekend rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory care and support within a Level IV NICU environment, serving a patient population that includes premature infants as early as 22 weeks gestation, RDS, high-risk deliveries, feeders/growers, and NAS patients
    • Manage and maintain mechanical ventilator support for neonatal and pediatric patients
    • Perform and assist with NCPAP, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, NG/OG and G-tube care, and medication administration
    • Develop and contribute to patient care plans, including discharge-to-home planning
    • Document and manage patient records using EPIC EMR
    • Occasional floating to the ER in a sitter capacity (rare)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Washington State Respiratory Therapist license required
    • BLS certification required
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU
    • Proficiency with mechanical ventilator/respiratory support required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with tracheostomy (trach) management highly preferred
    • Background in pediatric and cardiac respiratory care
    • Experience with surgical neonatal patients and/or HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy)
    • Prior travel therapy experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
