    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intensive respiratory care including operation of invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices as physician-prescribed
    • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, and arterial punctures according to policy
    • Assist with respiratory-related procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement; perform tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes
    • Perform 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines
    • Set up, self-test, operate, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment; assist with preventative maintenance and repair as needed
    • Document all treatments, patient responses, and respiratory therapy charges accurately; communicate findings during shift-to-shift handoff rounds
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Respiratory Therapist license within scope of professional practice
    • Current BLS and ACLS certification
    • Proficiency with invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment and respiratory care modalities
    • Ability to perform arterial puncture and interpret results to assess ventilation efficiency
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage intensive respiratory care responsibilities on night shift
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with video laryngoscope systems for endotracheal intubation
    • Familiarity with moderate complexity laboratory testing protocols including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
    • Experience with PleurX catheter drainage or similar chest drainage devices
