Job Title

Travel: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist - Nights

Contract | Travel | Nights | 3x12 (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, manage, and adjust respiratory care interventions and procedures for pediatric and neonatal patients, including those in PICU and NICU settings
  • Operate and maintain advanced respiratory equipment including Draeger VN500, Hamilton G-5, Oscillator, and Jet Ventilator
  • Assess and identify physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families, and communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary care team
  • Accurately document patient care, maintain care plans, and ensure all charges and credits are entered appropriately within the EPIC EMR system
  • Demonstrate safe medication administration practices and adhere to all infection control, confidentiality, and facility safety policies
  • Float to related pediatric and neonatal areas as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Current state licensure in the state of practice
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric and/or Neonatal Intensive Care experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working with high-acuity pediatric and neonatal patient populations including PICU and NICU
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
  • Adaptable, team-oriented personality with the ability to manage variable patient ratios and dynamic workloads
