    Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics (Pediatric)

    Seattle, WA | Acute Care (Inpatient)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekends Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services across pediatric intensive care units and all inpatient/acute care areas as needed, including floating to various units
    • Manage airways, ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and oxygen therapy for a patient population including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
    • Administer medications, perform suctioning, pulmonary toileting, and nebulizer treatments
    • Participate in code response and rapid response situations as required
    • Maintain active Washington State RCP license and all required certifications (BLS, PALS, RRT, NBRC-RRT) throughout the duration of the assignment
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and NBRC-RRT certification required
    • Active Washington State RCP license required for immediate start; candidates without an active WA license must be willing to apply upon offer (expect a 6–8 week start timeline)
    • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
    • Minimum of 2 years of applicable respiratory therapy experience required
    • PICU or NICU experience required; intensive care experience is mandatory
    • Local candidates are welcome and accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in trauma, Level 1 trauma, or emergency department settings
    • Proficiency with high frequency jet ventilator, high frequency oscillator, EKGs, and code/rapid response protocols
    • Previous experience in a children's hospital setting
    • Experience with Epic EMR
