Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekends Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services across pediatric intensive care units and all inpatient/acute care areas as needed, including floating to various units
- Manage airways, ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and oxygen therapy for a patient population including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Administer medications, perform suctioning, pulmonary toileting, and nebulizer treatments
- Participate in code response and rapid response situations as required
- Maintain active Washington State RCP license and all required certifications (BLS, PALS, RRT, NBRC-RRT) throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and NBRC-RRT certification required
- Active Washington State RCP license required for immediate start; candidates without an active WA license must be willing to apply upon offer (expect a 6–8 week start timeline)
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of applicable respiratory therapy experience required
- PICU or NICU experience required; intensive care experience is mandatory
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in trauma, Level 1 trauma, or emergency department settings
- Proficiency with high frequency jet ventilator, high frequency oscillator, EKGs, and code/rapid response protocols
- Previous experience in a children's hospital setting
- Experience with Epic EMR
