Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services across pediatric patient populations including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Work in all ICU settings (PICU, NICU) as well as float to acute and all inpatient areas as needed
- Perform airway management, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and pulmonary toileting
- Administer medications and manage respiratory modalities including BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulizer treatments
- Maintain active Washington State RCP license throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Washington State RCP License required (for immediate start); candidates without an active WA license must apply upon offer and may be considered for a start date 6–8 weeks out
- Required Certifications: BLS, PALS, RRT, NBRC-RRT
- Minimum of 2 years of applicable respiratory therapy experience
- PICU or NICU experience required; intensive care experience is mandatory
- Proficiency in airway management, vent management, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, BiPAP, and CPAP
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in trauma settings, Level 1 trauma, or emergency department environments
- Skills in high-frequency jet ventilation, high-frequency oscillation, EKGs, Code Response, and Rapid Response
- Prior experience in a children's hospital setting
- Experience with Epic EMR system
