    Travel: Registered Respiratory Therapist

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction with minimal supervision
    • Perform patient assessments and institute individualized respiratory care plans across all hospital areas
    • Manage airway support including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning, BiPAP/CPAP devices, and ventilator setup and operation
    • Perform diagnostic procedures including bloodgas collection and analysis, EKG analysis, and chest film analysis
    • Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Code White events
    • May perform advanced practice duties such as pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, and transport duties; may serve in a Shift Leader or Team Leader capacity
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RT or RCP License in the state of Texas required
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the NBRC required
    • BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
    • ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
    • PALS certification required (American Heart Association only)
    • NRP certification required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 1–3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
    • Experience with advanced therapeutic gas management including INO and HeO2
    • Familiarity with polysomnography and nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (desaturation studies)
