Travel - Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage respiratory treatments including nebulizers, BIPAP/CPAP, and mechanical ventilators
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis using blood gas machines
- Manage a normal floor assignment of approximately 20–25 treatments per round
- Provide respiratory care support in ICU and general floor settings
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage and on-call shifts approximately one 24-hour shift every 5–6 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current Virginia State Respiratory Therapy License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- ICU experience required — candidates without ICU experience will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Proficiency with a full range of respiratory equipment including oxygen delivery systems, ventilators, and blood gas machines
