    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport into and out of the facility as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional license and with minimal supervision
    • Conduct physician-prescribed treatments operating various ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive), oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
    • Perform arterial puncture, oximetry and capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, 12-Lead EKG, and basic arrhythmia recognition
    • Perform tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes, and assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement
    • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines
    • Set up, self-test, operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment; record all pertinent treatment information and patient responses in respiratory care records and patient charts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Respiratory Therapist license/credential required
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • Ability to operate and maintain various ventilatory, oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer equipment
    • Ability to perform arterial puncture, pulmonary function studies, and interpret chest x-rays for further evaluation needs
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with video laryngoscope systems and free-hand endotracheal intubation techniques
    • Familiarity with moderate complexity laboratory testing protocols including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
    • Experience assisting with bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement procedures
