Key Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy procedures per protocol and physician orders to improve cardiopulmonary conditions of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric ages
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and initiate, modify, refine, transition, discontinue, or restart therapy as the patient's medical condition dictates under established protocols
• Provide respiratory care across critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care settings, including PICU and NICU environments
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient records and department logs
• Deliver a positive patient experience through structured communication and service recovery practices
• Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level; may be required to work major holidays and pick up additional shifts based on department needs

Required Qualifications

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required — license must be in hand prior to submission
• Active Nevada State Respiratory Therapy License required prior to start
• Must apply for State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst License, Director of Point of Care, or General Supervisor of Point of Care designation prior to start
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience, including recent critical care experience
• PICU and NICU experience required; prior travel experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced trauma or Level I/II trauma center environment
• Familiarity with neonatal and pediatric respiratory protocols and ventilator management
• Ability to adapt to varied schedules including weekends, holidays, and call shifts
