    Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport into and out of the facility as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional license and with minimal supervision
    • Conduct physician-prescribed treatments operating various ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive), oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
    • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal), oximetry and capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, arterial puncture, and 12-Lead EKG with basic arrhythmia recognition
    • Perform tracheostomy care including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes (emergent and non-emergent), as well as insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via free-hand technique and/or video laryngoscope system
    • Assist with respiratory-related procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement; perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines
    • Set up, self-test, operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment; document all treatments and patient responses accurately in respiratory care records and patient chart
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Respiratory Therapist license within the scope of professional practice
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Ventilator experience required, including experience with the Hamilton C3 ventilator
    • Ability and comfort working independently with minimal supervision
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with bronchoscopy assistance, percutaneous tracheostomy procedures, and chest tube placement
    • Familiarity with moderate complexity laboratory testing policies and procedures including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
    • Experience performing PleurX catheter drainage or similar chest drainage devices
