Contract | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate and administer respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment
- Provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care to patients ranging from neonate to adolescent
- Ensure all care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department, and regulatory agencies
- Participate in executing quality improvement initiatives within the respiratory care department
- Float between multiple campuses as needed to support patient care and departmental operations
- Maintain all skills and knowledge necessary to perform both critical care and emergency/trauma respiratory procedures
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum of two (2) years of pediatric critical care experience
- Current, active, permanent State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the NBRC
- Current BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), and Advanced NRP certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Critical Care and Emergency/Trauma experience strongly preferred
- Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience strongly preferred
