    Respiratory Therapist

    Phoenix, AZ | Pediatric Acute Care (Multi-Campus)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3×12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Facilitate and administer respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment
    • Provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care to patients ranging from neonate to adolescent
    • Ensure all care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department, and regulatory agencies
    • Participate in executing quality improvement initiatives within the respiratory care department
    • Float between multiple campuses as needed to support patient care and departmental operations
    • Maintain all skills and knowledge necessary to perform both critical care and emergency/trauma respiratory procedures
    Required Qualifications
    • Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist
    • Minimum of two (2) years of pediatric critical care experience
    • Current, active, permanent State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license
    • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the NBRC
    • Current BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), and Advanced NRP certifications required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Critical Care and Emergency/Trauma experience strongly preferred
    • Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience strongly preferred
