    Contract | Night Shift (1830–0700) | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) | Every Other Holiday | No On-Call Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services across general medical, intermediate, and ICU patient populations including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
    • Manage and operate primary ventilators (Servo U, Servo i, LTV, Trilogy) as well as BiPAP/CPAP (ResMed S9) and heated high-flow systems (Fisher & Paykel)
    • Utilize the AARC point system to manage a daily treatment assignment of approximately 26–28 points
    • Collaborate with on-site hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7, as well as a shift team lead who serves as a clinical resource
    • Complete department-specific orientation including EHR training, ventilator review, IPV, and specialty item review, followed by precepted shifts
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois Respiratory Therapy license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • BLS certification required
    • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential required
    • Minimum experience in a large critical care facility (300+ beds)
    • Critical care experience is required
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen; placement site maintains a drug-free campus policy
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • RRT credential strongly preferred over CRT
    • Familiarity with Servo U, Servo i, LTV, and Trilogy ventilator platforms
    • Experience with ResMed S9 BiPAP/CPAP and Fisher & Paykel heated high-flow systems
