Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across a diverse population including geriatric, adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Implement and manage invasive and non-invasive respiratory equipment including V-60, VOCSN, Hamilton, Vapotherm, and Airvo2
• Implement and monitor respiratory treatments and therapies in an acute care setting
• Attend and provide support at high-risk deliveries
• Apply high-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills in time-sensitive clinical situations
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EHR

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
• Active Iowa Respiratory Care license — must be in hand at time of submission
• NBRC Certification: CRT or RRT required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1–2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Iowa state and county background checks (criminal and child abuse portions) must be fully cleared prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neonatal and pediatric respiratory therapy experience strongly preferred
• Experience with high-risk delivery attendance and neonatal resuscitation
• Familiarity with Meditech EHR
