    Key Responsibilities
    • Provides intensive respiratory care including operation of invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizer devices to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation
    • Performs arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography monitoring, pulmonary function studies, and routine chest x-ray review to evaluate patient status and therapy effectiveness
    • Performs suctioning, chest physiotherapy, tracheostomy care, and assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and chest tube placement
    • Performs 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation per BLS and ACLS guidelines
    • Performs insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via freehand technique and/or video laryngoscope system
    • Documents all treatments, patient responses, and respiratory therapy charges accurately in the patient chart and respiratory care records
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to practice in Ohio
    • Current BLS certification required
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Ability to operate and maintain various types of mechanical ventilation and respiratory therapy equipment with minimal supervision
    • Ability to evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans within the scope of professional licensure
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with moderate complexity laboratory testing protocols including specimen handling, quality controls, and documentation
    • Experience assisting with advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomies, and PleurX catheter drainage
    • Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and shift-to-shift handoff reporting
