Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a high-acuity, Level I Trauma academic medical center environment
- Deliver care to complex and critically ill patients across adult and NICU populations
- Perform respiratory and neuro diagnostic procedures as assigned by the unit
- Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Adhere to all facility compliance requirements including nicotine-free and infection control policies
Required Qualifications
- Active Nebraska State Respiratory Therapy License (preferred in hand at time of submission; licensing may take up to 6–8 weeks)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of one year of experience at a large (500+ bed) Level I Trauma, Academic Medical Center
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Candidate must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of overall respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
