Key Responsibilities
- Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff across all appropriate age levels
- Document treatment information and patient treatment responses in the computerized medical record
- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Serve as a resource person to medical staff and provide age-appropriate patient care
- Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within 12 months of hire
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Two or more years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
- Knowledge of procedures, techniques, and equipment operation and repair related to Respiratory Therapy
- Clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac systems across patient age groups
