    Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT - Pediatrics

    Key Responsibilities
    • Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff across all appropriate age levels
    • Document treatment information and patient responses in the computerized medical record system
    • Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
    • Serve as a resource person to medical staff regarding respiratory care procedures and equipment
    • Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained and that all required records are kept current
    • Participate as a member of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
    • Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
    • Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT credential required within 12 months of hire)
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Two (2) or more years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
    • Familiarity with pulmonary and cardiac clinical decision-making across various patient age groups
    • Proficiency with computer systems used in clinical documentation
