    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

    Location

    Newport News, VA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:00)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple units including ICU, ED, and Medical/Surgical floors
    • Support NICU coverage for candidates with applicable experience
    • Operate within a Level II Trauma Center environment alongside a team of 7–10 Respiratory Therapists based on census
    • Utilize EPIC for all clinical charting and documentation
    • Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • RRT or CRT credential required
    • BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association)
    • PALS certification required (must be through the American Heart Association); NRP required if candidate has NICU experience
    • Valid Virginia state license or proof of compact license required at time of submittal
    • EPIC charting experience required
    • Specialty experience within the last year required
    • One supervisory reference required at time of submittal
    • Locals are accepted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior NICU experience with active NRP certification
    • Experience working in a high-acuity Level II Trauma Center or multi-ICU environment
    • Familiarity with respiratory and neuro diagnostics workflows
