Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required (Friday/Saturday) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood gas analysis, ventilator management, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen initiation and ongoing management
- Respond to code situations and assist with in-house patient transport
- Administer respiratory medications and perform Chest PT
- Provide care across adult and pediatric patient populations, including critical care settings
- Float between PICU, ED, and adult critical care units based on census and staffing needs
- Document patient care and clinical data using the EPIC charting system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1.5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
- Active NJ State License or Compact License required at time of submission
- BLS certification required at time of submission
- NBRC credential required at time of submission
- Ability and willingness to float within scope of skillset across assigned units
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 designated holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PICU and/or NICU experience strongly preferred
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP (may be obtained onsite if not held at time of submission)
- Experience with Servo I & U ventilators and V60 BiPAP equipment
