Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care services to patients requiring emergency care, intensive care, and therapeutic treatment
- Perform invasive and non-invasive monitoring and diagnostic testing for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Manage and support patients on mechanical ventilators
- Conduct and interpret EKGs as part of cardiopulmonary assessment
- Deliver patient education related to pulmonary and cardiopulmonary conditions
- Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment and participate in quality assurance and improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience required
- Comfortable with mechanical ventilators — required
- Comfortable with EKGs — required
- Active Michigan Respiratory Therapy License
- ACLS Certification (required)
- BLS Certification – American Heart Association (required)
- NBRC Credential (required)
- Must reside more than 35 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel therapy experience preferred
- CRT candidates will also be considered
- Experience in a tertiary or teaching hospital environment
