Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care services to patients requiring emergency care, intensive care, and therapeutic treatment
- Perform invasive and non-invasive monitoring and diagnostic testing for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Deliver patient education related to pulmonary and cardiopulmonary conditions
- Manage and operate mechanical ventilators and related respiratory equipment
- Monitor and maintain respiratory care equipment to ensure proper function and safety
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) also accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of RRT experience required
- Proficiency with mechanical ventilators required
- Proficiency with EKGs required
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- NBRC certification required
- Active Michigan state respiratory therapy license required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel therapy experience preferred
- Experience in a tertiary or trauma center setting preferred
