Key Responsibilities Perform respiratory care evaluations and treat patients according to established protocols, independently or in consultation with a physician.
Perform respiratory care evaluations and treat patients according to established protocols, independently or in consultation with a physician.
Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
Respond immediately to all Rapid Response, arrest, and STAT situations; maintain artificial airways and provide respiratory and cardiac support.
Set up and maintain all oxygen delivery systems in accordance with protocol.
Administer therapeutic modalities and perform diagnostic testing of the cardio-pulmonary system.
Provide CPR and life support as needed in emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Active RRT Certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Active Michigan Respiratory Therapy License (must reflect Active status).
Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Current Skills Checklist (within the last year) pertinent to Respiratory Therapy, and 2 completed Supervisory Reference Forms from within the last two years.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous travel healthcare assignment experience.
Familiarity with Epic EMR.
