Key Responsibilities
Perform 25–28 respiratory treatments per shift across multiple care areas including NICU (Level IIB), MICU, PACU, ER, and all inpatient floors
Perform arterial blood gas draws (radial and brachial) and manage all respiratory equipment including Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC
Float comfortably between specialties including ICU, MICU, Med-Surg/Telemetry, and the Emergency Department
Attend deliveries and initiate CPAP in the NICU setting; provide stabilization and transfer support for pediatric ER patients
Assist with intubation procedures (assisting only, not independently)
Adhere to self-scheduling requirements, including flexibility to fill gaps, rotate between shifts, and float to sister facilities within the region
Required Qualifications
RRT credential required (CRT not accepted)
Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
NRP certification required for NICU assignments
Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
Must be proficient with adults, pediatrics, and NICU patient populations
Ability to float throughout the hospital and to nearby sister facilities as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a Level II NICU setting with comfort attending deliveries and initiating CPAP
Prior experience working across multiple care settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg/Telemetry in a single facility
Familiarity with eICU support environments
