    Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 7 On / 7 Off | On-Call Required (Friday nights 1:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage respiratory care for patients with emphysema, asthma, and other respiratory disease processes in a small community hospital setting
    • Perform non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), high-flow oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy
    • Conduct ABG draws and analysis, including interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases
    • Administer and manage a broad range of inhaled medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Pulmicort, Racemic Epinephrine, and others
    • Provide tracheostomy care and management, airway suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene
    • Operate and troubleshoot required ventilators including Servo I and LTV 1200; preferred experience with Phillips V60 BiPAP, BiPAP Vision, and Teleflex High Flow Nasal Cannulas
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New York State Respiratory Therapy License required and must be in hand at time of submission
    • CRT certification required
    • ACLS and BLS certifications required
    • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required
    • EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
    • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings
    • Proficiency with Phillips V60 BiPAP, BiPAP Vision, and Teleflex High Flow Nasal Cannulas
    • Experience with weaning from mechanical ventilation and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
    • Familiarity with a wide range of aerosol delivery devices including MDI, T-piece, trach collar, and HFNC
