Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-call required Friday nights (1:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services in a small community hospital setting, managing conditions such as emphysema, asthma, and other respiratory disease processes
• Administer non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), high-flow oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy
• Perform ABG draws and analysis, including interpretation of results to guide patient care
• Manage tracheostomy care, airway placement and suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, and sputum specimen collection
• Operate and troubleshoot required ventilators including Servo I and LTV 1200; experience with Philips V60 BiPAP, BiPAP Vision, and Teleflex High Flow Nasal Cannulas preferred
• Stabilize patients on invasive ventilation in the emergency department as needed; float within the facility as required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Respiratory Therapy license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience is a hard requirement
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Philips V60 BiPAP, BiPAP Vision, and Teleflex High Flow Nasal Cannulas
• Background in adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Proficiency with a broad range of inhaled medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Pulmicort, Xopenex, Racemic Epinephrine, and others
• Experience with weaning from mechanical ventilation and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
