Key Responsibilities
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and disorders
Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation
Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and blood gas analysis
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications
Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Iowa (or compact eligibility)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
Current BLS certification required
Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as part of the scheduled rotation
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting
Experience with mechanical ventilation and critical care respiratory support
Strong communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary environment
