Contract | 36 hours per week | Day/Evening shifts (8-hour and 12-hour shifts); shift times include 7:00–15:30, 7:00–19:30, and 15:00–23:30 | Every other weekend rotation required | 2 holidays required during winter months | On-call: 1 twelve-hour call shift per 6-week schedule period
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services across inpatient settings, including neuro diagnostics units
- Deliver care to both pediatric and adult patient populations
- Perform and interpret respiratory assessments and therapeutic interventions
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care demands
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled within the 6-week scheduling period
Required Qualifications
- Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required; pending license at time of submittal is accepted
- Graduation from a COARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of experience as a staff respiratory therapist required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with both pediatric and adult patient populations
- Prior experience in an inpatient acute care or teaching hospital environment
