Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
- Provide respiratory care for patients with respiratory disease as ordered by the physician and in accordance with current department policies across all phases of respiratory therapy
- Work independently as well as provide supervision over others as delegated
- Complete paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and charges for each patient
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential required
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required in CA
- Registration or Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Master's Degree preferred
- Three or more years of technical respiratory therapy experience
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification
