Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and sleep studies
Administer and monitor respiratory therapy modalities such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and inhalation therapy
Educate patients and their families on disease management, breathing techniques, and proper use of respiratory equipment
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and sleep technologists to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation
Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy to continuously improve patient care processes
Required Qualifications
Active Respiratory Therapist licensure or certification as required by state regulations
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Experience administering and managing mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy
Proficiency in performing arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests
Strong documentation and patient record-keeping skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with sleep studies and collaboration with sleep technologists
Background in patient and family education related to chronic respiratory conditions
