Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage all forms of respiratory therapy to patients in an acute care hospital setting
- Evaluate patient reactions to respiratory treatments and recommend corresponding treatment plans
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
- Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment in accordance with facility protocols
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Adhere to weekend and call requirements as determined by the facility
Required Qualifications
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapist experience in an acute care hospital
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
- Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1; exemptions must be client-approved
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP certification preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- PEARS certification preferred
- Post-secondary education in respiratory therapy or a related field
