    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist

    Location

    Hilo, HI | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) | 15-Week Assignment | No guaranteed hours

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide continuous airway management across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
    • Manage and support ventilator and non-invasive ventilator therapy, including PB 980, PB 840, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent equipment
    • Perform all aspects of respiratory care including physician consulting and CPR
    • Utilize computerized charting and Pyxis medication management systems
    Required Qualifications
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
    • Active State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapist License required by assignment start date; candidates with a Hawaii license application already submitted will be considered
    • BLS and ACLS certifications required
    • PALS required
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; no first-time travelers
    • Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exemption required prior to contract start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Current, active State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapist License at time of application
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
    • Experience with neonatal and pediatric patient populations
