    Job Title

    Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

    Location

    Greenville, SC | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory care to an adult and geriatric patient population within an acute care setting, including Adult Critical Care environments
    • Perform airway management procedures including extubation, nasal and oral airway placement, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene
    • Administer a broad range of inhaled medications via aerosol mask, trach setup, Metered Dose Inhaler, Medihaler, and nebulizer devices including handheld, T-piece, and trach collar
    • Manage and troubleshoot ventilatory support equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, trach collar oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation weaning
    • Collect sputum specimens and perform related diagnostic respiratory procedures
    • Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed based on census, limited to areas where documented competencies have been established
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
    • Active RRT license in South Carolina required — pending licensure not accepted
    • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
    • Trauma Level 1 experience required
    • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
    • Must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible; travelers between 50–99.9 miles may be subject to a reduced bill rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with a wide range of inhaled medications including albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Xopenex, and others
    • Proficiency with mechanical ventilation management, including troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning protocols
    • Prior travel/contract assignment experience welcomed — first-time travelers are accepted
