    Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide respiratory care to an adult and geriatric patient population in a critical care environment, including extubation, airway placement, suctioning, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy care
    • Administer inhaled medications via aerosol mask, aerosol trach setup, Medihaler, metered dose inhaler, handheld nebulizer, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizer
    • Manage and troubleshoot oxygen therapy modalities including high flow nasal cannula, trach collar, BiPAP, and CPAP
    • Perform mechanical ventilator management including troubleshooting high pressure alarms and weaning protocols
    • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
    • Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed based on census requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
    • Active RRT license in South Carolina required — no pending licenses accepted
    • Active ACLS and BLS certifications required
    • Trauma Level 1 experience required
    • Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible (night shift RRT designation); candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be subject to adjusted terms
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Proficiency with a broad range of inhaled medications including albuterol, racemic epinephrine, pulmicort, tobramycin, xopenex, and others
    • Experience with advanced airway management techniques including nasal, oral, and tracheostomy airway care
    • Familiarity with multi-campus health system environments and cross-unit floating protocols
