    Job Title

    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

    Location

    Fremont, NE | Inpatient (MedSurg / ER / ICU)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform protocol-based respiratory assessments and administer scheduled and PRN treatments, including nebulizers and breathing treatments
    • Manage ventilators (Draeger), BiPAP (V60), and heated high-flow oxygen (Optiflow); patient volumes and acuity may vary significantly day to day
    • Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and provide patient education on inhaler use as needed
    • Assist with intubation procedures as required; independent intubation is not expected
    • Perform EKGs when the Diagnostic department is closed
    • Collaborate as part of a two- to three-RT team covering the full facility 24/7, responding quickly across MedSurg, ER, and ICU
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
    • BLS certification required
    • Experience in a similar-size facility and inpatient setting is required
    • Primarily adult patient population; some pediatric experience beneficial as peds patients may be encountered
    • Travelers must be flexible with scheduling to meet facility needs; block scheduling may be accommodated based on operational requirements
    • Weekend commitment expected every third weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday for nights); additional shifts may be available
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ACLS certification strongly preferred
    • PALS and NRP certifications preferred
    • Prior experience with Draeger ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Optiflow heated high-flow systems, or Respironics CPAP equipment
    • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
