Key Responsibilities
- Performs direct patient care and the provision of respiratory care procedures across all areas of the facility
- Responds to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts in a timely manner and documents appropriately
- Exercises sound clinical judgment and assessment skills to monitor patients and communicate relevant information to other caregivers
- Documents and maintains records, charts, and reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Organizes workload to ensure therapy is completed as prescribed and in accordance with policy and procedure
- Participates in respiratory care educational activities and departmental meetings
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Ability to perform direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Proficiency in respiratory care procedures and adherence to established clinical policies
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to maintain accurate patient records
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with NICU and/or PICU patient populations
- Training or experience in Pulmonary Function Testing or Methacholine Challenges
- Familiarity with Hyperbaric Medicine or Asthma Education programs
