Key Responsibilities
- Perform direct patient care and delivery of respiratory care procedures across all areas of the facility
- Execute all procedures in accordance with established policy and procedure, organizing workload to ensure therapy is completed as prescribed
- Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts in a timely manner and document appropriately
- Exercise sound clinical judgment and assessment skills to monitor patients and communicate relevant information to other caregivers
- Accurately document and maintain patient records, charts, and reports in a timely manner
- Participate in respiratory care educational activities and departmental meetings
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Active and valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in South Carolina
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency situations including Code Blue and Rapid Response events
- Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, and documentation skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with NICU and/or PICU patient populations
- Training or experience in Pulmonary Function Testing, Methacholine Challenges, or Hyperbaric Medicine
- Experience providing Asthma Education to patients
